AMI membership

We offer two types of membership at AMI:

Associate Member

Simply complete the attached form, scan it and email it to admin@aummi.edu.au with the subject, “Associate member Application”. Your application is subject to approval by the board or delegate. Associate Members have all member rights except Voting at AGMs and special general meetings. Associate membership is free. Please find the form attached, plus the Rules of Incorporation it refers to.

  2. Notice of all events and meetings
  3. Discount prices for AMI events
  4. Ability to access AMI networks in Myanmar, via MoU with MISIS (and others)
  5. Myanmar collaboration within Australia, via events, for the development of grants, research, capacity building projects, etc
  6. Statements of support and ability to name AMI in grant applications, on application basis
  7. Opportunity to be nominated for a board position
  8. Opportunity to volunteer to be part of the team designing and managing the institute

AMI Rules of Incorporation

 

Institutional Member

Full membership with voting rights is available for institutions, companies, associations, etc. Institutional membership fees are set by the Board, with annual fees varying according to the size of the institution. A pro-rata fee for part years is available. For more information and to apply, please email admin@aummi.edu.au with the subject, “Institutional Membership”.

Benefits of full membership vary according to the fee paid, but in essence include all those applicable to associate members, plus

  1. Full voting rights, including board membership opportunity
  2. Opportunity to be part of the team designing the institute and the major funding applications
  3. Ability to access AMI network in Myanmar for institutional , including our MoU with MISIS (and others) for in-country official access and support
  4. Myanmar collaboration within Australia, via events, virtual and database, for the development of grants, research, capacity building projects, etc
  5. Ability to host events in partnership with AMI
  6. Ability to refer to AMI support for grant applications (subject to board)
  7. Ability to use the AMI logo on corporate websites (subject to board)
  8. Extra discounted prices for AMI events
  9. Opportunity for event advertising
  10. Visibility to AMI donors and members
