AustCham Myanmar – Weekly News I Event Invitations I New Member Profiles

As announced on 14 August 2017 current A-MCC members will soon be represented by a new merged organisation following an agreement to create one Australian Chamber of Commerce based in Yangon. The two Australian business chambers previously registered in Myanmar will soon operate using the following brand, name and logo .

Jodi Weedon, CEO of the Australia-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce, will be retained as CEO of the new organisation and current members will continue to receive equal benefits and even greater opportunities as one unified Chamber will have critical mass and strengthen the position of the Australian business community in Myanmar.

A transition committee comprised of members from the two former organisations will work on bringing the two groups’ management and members together ahead of an Annual General Meeting for AustCham Myanmar planned for late 2017. Ahead of that, and to avoid confusion in the market, we will proceed to use the new brand as often as possible.
