Pan Hsu Pyae Eain is a researcher focusing on public policy, freedom of expression, media freedom, inter-ethnic relations, and activism. She works as a research consultant at Athan, a prominent freedom of expression activist organisation. Following the military coup in 2021, she moved to Thailand, where she advocated for and documented the right to freedom of expression and human rights violations in Myanmar. In mid-2022, she relocated to Australia to pursue further studies and recently completed her Master of Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Thet Htay is currently working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Central Queensland, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a Member of the Royal College of psychiatrists (UK) and has decades of experience in Clinical Psychiatry. Dr Htay has a lifelong interest in world politics, history, and nature. He is passionate about freedom, and democratic movements globally. Since the Military coup in Myanmar, he has been actively involved in Spring Revolution movement along with Myanmar diaspora across the world.

Questions and Answers will follow the presentations.
