Dr. Ethan is a committed physician with a Doctorate in Medicine and has been serving as the State Health Administrator of the Sagaing Region, Myanmar since 2021. He oversees public health operations across 31 townships, leading initiatives in emergency healthcare provision, health system strengthening, and crisis response. Under his leadership, the region has improved access to essential health services, especially in conflict-affected and underserved communities.
In the wake of the devastating magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Sagaing on March 28, 2025, Dr. Ethan coordinated and led the emergency medical response across the affected areas. He ensured the rapid deployment of healthcare teams, delivery of critical supplies, and restoration of basic health services to thousands of displaced and injured residents. His decisive action during this humanitarian disaster saved countless lives and reinforced the region’s capacity for emergency preparedness and resilience.
Dr. Ethan remains dedicated to safeguarding public health and building a stronger, more equitable healthcare system for the people of Sagaing Region in Myanmar.
