AMI Gathering at Madame Brussels

Discussion after Christopher Lamb’s AMI trip to Myanmar in July 2018 & Chris Piper’s mission to Cox’s Bazar to support refugees

on Monday 30th July

at Madame Brussels, 59 Bourke St, Melbourne

Special chance to mix with AMI members, contacts and volunteers and hear about the outcomes, connections and contributions during AMI’s president’s visits and calls in Yangon, Naypyitaw and Mandalay,  highlighting planning for the next AMI Conference as well as reporting on the 2017 Conference.

We will also have an opportunity to network with Chris Piper, just back from a UN engagement supporting refugees in Bangladesh.

Chris Piper is a multi-skilled Global Humanitarian Practitioner who has recently returned from Cox’s Bazar District, Bangladesh, where he worked as a RedR Australia ‘Expert in Mission’ with UNDP, supporting some of the 900,000 refugees in 27 camps throughout the district. My skill sets and experience include Disaster Risk Management (DRM), Community Engagement, Project Management, Capacity Building, and Research and Networking. His recent achievements include working as UNDP’s Early Warning Dissemination and Training Specialist in Cox’s Bazar, supporting the refugee program there.
