AMI’s major conferences are held in Myanmar about every 2 1/2 years. They provide a forum for reviewing Myanmar’s progress towards its objectives within the UN Sustainable Development Goals agenda. It may be worth noting that Australia’s NGO community, working within the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) published on 4 April 2019 a joint statement in support of the SDGs by the Australian Government. The full statement is athttps://acfid.asn.au/media-releases/joint-statement-australian-government-and-sustainable-development-goals and it’s worth considering the relevance of the five key action for Myanmar and other regional countries.
The next conference will be held in Yangon and Mandalay from 24-27 January 2020.
